Decorated Dreamer: A Look Inside the New Collection

It’s felt so good to begin working on a brand new collection that fully represents my aesthetic and all I’m inspired by. For this collection, Decorated Dreamer, I wanted to work on something that was deeply decorative, feminine and floral. . think the De Gournay X Erdem collab.

Something I’ve been thinking alot about lately, is the rise of ai, and how much it impacts artists, and any creative industry. With SO much digital art around, I wanted to deep dive on a chinoiserie style- something that’s highly celebrated for it’s craft and hand painted skill.

This collection, rooted in tradition, will also offer some modern touches and easy to style colors. Follow along as I share more of this collection over the next month, will initial sketches and more paintings in progress. For now, I’ll really excited to share my initial mood board!

A few things for creating a moodboard:

-This should be a combination of trends, color, design ideas, but most importantly, it should also represent your brand DNA. What makes this trend work so well for your brand?

-Every image should have a purpose! There’s no point added filler images, it will only dilute your unique message. Do you have a reason for every image?

-Take a step back. At a glance does your color story and general mood come through? You should instantly know what the moods all about.
