Cultivating Calm and Getting Inspired

As a designer, one of my favorite things to do is revisit my moodboard every few months. It’s an essential part of my creative process and helps me stay connected to what’s inspiring me right now. It also ensures that my work remains fresh and aligned with my ever-evolving vision.

This latest moodboard has me especially excited. It’s a true reflection of everything my studio is about: bringing the outside in, celebrating the timeless elegance of chinoiserie, and showcasing beautiful greens. The combination of these elements really captures the feeling of tranquility and nature that I’m drawn to, while also offering a nod to classic design with a modern twist.

For me, moodboards are more than just a collection of images; they’re a way to express my passions, ideas, and the aesthetic that’s guiding my work. Every time I look at this one, it feels like a visual snapshot of what’s inspiring me right now and where I want to go creatively.

I love how this moodboard reflects my desire to create spaces and designs that feel alive and connected to nature. I find that the more I bring elements of the outdoors into my work, the more energized and grounded I feel. The green tones in this board, from soft sage to deeper emeralds, add so much vibrancy and depth to my designs.

Reworking my moodboard isn’t just about staying inspired—it’s about making sure my designs continue to tell the story I want to tell. It’s a reminder of what I love, what excites me, and where my creativity is heading next.

What about you? Do you revisit your moodboards or inspiration sources regularly? I’d love to hear how you stay inspired and what’s currently influencing your creative journey.
