Interested in how I put my designs together?

I'm thrilled to share a sneak peek into my creative process. Designing prints and patterns is not just my profession—it's my passion. Each design starts with an inspiration, evolves through a series of artistic steps, and finally transforms into a beautiful fabric ready to adorn a garment or a piece of home decor!

Here's a breakdown of how it all comes together:

1. Moodboard or Theme: Every collection begins with a concept. For this collection, I've drawn inspiration from the romantic and detailed elements of chinoiserie. I gather images, colors, and textures that embody the essence of this theme and create a moodboard that guides my design direction.

2. Artwork Creation: With a clear vision in mind, I start handpainting the designs. . . This is my favorite part of the process!

3. Edits & Pattern Building: Once the initial artwork is complete, I digitize it and begin the editing process. This involves adjusting colors, refining details, and arranging elements into a seamless pattern. The goal is to create a repeat tile that maintains the flow and harmony of the design.

4. Final Repeat Tile: After perfecting the pattern, I finalize the repeat tile. This tile will be the foundation for the fabric, ensuring that the design repeats flawlessly across the material.

5. The Final Product: The most rewarding part is seeing the design come to life on fabric! Whether it's a flowing dress or a cozy cushion, each product showcases the artistry and dedication that went into the creation of the pattern.

I hope this glimpse into my process gives you a deeper appreciation for the art of textile design. If you're interested in collaborating or seeing more of my work, don't hesitate to reach out or join my email list for exclusive previews and updates.
