Trending! Painterly Florals : A look inside the process

I’m super excited that the painterly florals are trending again! That’s a big win for me since a lot of my designs fall into that category and its something I gravitate towards. I always think they have such an important part in any apparel collection as they’re so eyecatching. A few other reasons you always need hand painted florals:

• They are SO unique and give the instant WOW factor to anything

• Painterly florals are seasonless. Okay okay, I know I said they were trending at the moment, but this is purely from a fashion/runway perspective. Honestly? They are ALWAYS trending and in demand.

• Perceived higher value. I’m just going to say it, hand painted florals look SO much more expensive then a flat floral. Yes, these graphic looks have their moment and can be done in a way that looks great, BUT generally speaking, anything hand painted just looks expensive, you can literally see the work that’s gone into it.
